Clark Gilmour (GB)

Clark Gilmour is a solo acoustic performer, a Fab Four Fanatic, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of The Beatles, and a repertoire of over 200 Beatles songs – from their early days in The Quarrymen, right through to their solo projects in the 1970s and beyond, covering all the well-known hits but also specialising in rare and obscure tracks from their early days in Hamburg, their Decca audition, BBC sessions, Anthology outtakes, album tracks and B-sides.

As well as portraying John Lennon in many tribute bands over the last 15 years, Clark is a resident musician at The Cavern Club and the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool, the home of Mersey Beat, and of course, the birthplace of The Beatles.

Clark has been living in Liverpool since 2015, where he works for Cavern City Tours as Artist Liaison for The Cavern Club. He is also one of the organisers of International Beatleweek festival, booking many of the bands that appear at the event in Liverpool every August. He is also an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club and can often be found singing in The Kop End at Anfield.

Clark’s passion for The Beatles has taken him throughout Europe, visiting many places of Beatles significance and playing in Ireland, France, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, The Netherlands (including the Amsterdam Hilton), Belgium and Germany, with particularly memorable shows with Them Beatles at The Indra, The Top Ten Club and The Kaiser Keller in Hamburg, where the young Beatles played. Travelling further afield Clark has also toured and played Beatles events in Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, India, Dubai and Bahrain.

He has made friends all over the world through the mutual love of The Beatles and continues to be amazed by their influence across borders and cultures, with people of all ages and generations, NOW AND THEN!

Clark was also our VIP guest at last year’s festival, where he delivered several highly appreciated performances. We are thrilled to welcome him back again this year!
